What is CRUX?

CRUX is defined multiple ways. As a group of single young adults from 18-30 years old we feel that the word CRUX  is an expression of who we are. At this time in an individual’s life, he/she is at a truly vital stage. Here, one is making important decisions that will set the foundation which the years to follow will build upon. Decisions regarding: college education and the work force, career path, and choosing a spouse – just to name a few.  We realize, up to this point in the life of a young adult, decisions of this magnitude have not yet been made. This “vital and decisive stage” is, the CRUX of one’s life.

So, in the very prime of our lives, the most important decision we make – is to determine to centralize it on the Cross. We’ve committed ourselves to following Jesus. We’ve made up our minds. We won’t cut ourselves into the design of popular culture, and we steer away from the status quo. Because of that, they say we’re missing out on life, wasting our youth, and squandering our best years; but we believe 1 Corinthians 1:18.

The teaching about the cross is foolishness to those who are being lost, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.

We’re taking a stand to make the Cross the “central point” – the CRUX, of why and how, we live our everyday lives as young adults.
